Wow!!
I wish I could add few more stars to this amazing book!!!! It evoked so many emotions in me, that just 5 stars does not do any justice to the author. It was just not any other fiction read for me! I felt so real as if everything was happening around me.
I finished this book a couple months ago and I still cannot stop thinking about it. I have already read it twice!
“Death is a large part of my life. Death is my life. Death is me.”
There are so many delightful parts to this novel that I fell in love with. I can spend all day writing my favorite quotes. Harper Davis is an amazing author had done a fantastic job! The way the story continues with emotions surging all around you, it binds you from the start till the end. It’s not just an another pick, it’s a story that binds you and make you think. To live it and love it.
Read this book and surely it would one of your favorites.

BOOK EXCERPT

I know death very well. I am the product of death. My mother died giving birth to me. I was told that before she went into labor, I was to be a normal birth. Sadly, this was not the case. When the day came, I was two weeks early. My mother and father were rushed to the hospital and the doctors were roused. Everything was running smoothly. Nothing out of the ordinary was happening until I was pulled out of her womb and into the new world. A nurse tended to me as my mother grew still and stopped breathing. I won’t be able to go into much detail about it, because I don’t know. To this day, no one talks about it. I guess they are scared that it will upset me, but to be honest, I can’t say that I feel anything about it. All I know is that after I was born, her heart stopped and I entered the world without a mother. I know that I’m supposed to feel something more about this, but to be honest, I don’t. To me, it is nothing more than a fact. My mother died and I was born. People tell me all the time that they loved my mother. She was a saint, an angel, a savior. She had a multitude of friends that showed up to the funeral. People said that she will be missed, that there is no one else in the world that can replace her. I wish I could have figured that out myself, but I guess that it was just not meant to be.

About the Author

Harper Davis hails from Virginia where he received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Theater Studies. After a year working in the theatrical realm, he decided to move to the sunny desert of Arizona where he landed a position at a prestigious events planning company. There he works with several corporate clients producing meetings, parties and special events. This type of world is full of creative ideas and constant fun but it also comes with long hours and stressful customer service which caused Harper to think back to a class that he took in college: Playwriting. With nothing more than a worn out laptop, his muse, and his imagination, he has completed three novels and has several more in the making. As a debut novelist, he is actively seeking representation from agents with an interest in fantasy-fiction and science-fiction stories. As a newcomer to the writing community, he is steadily looking for comments and welcomes all forms of constructive criticism and support.
